Shop Your Own Closet. My Thoughts & More

Shop Your Closet

I came across this term "Shop Your Closet a while back, but I felt that the term only became popular in late 2019. Here are my thoughts on this subject, I think shopping from your wardrobe is a great way to get to know yourself better (to identify your personal style), to save a little and to reduce waste. I also believe that this will help you identify the items in your closets that are basics and essential to your style and others that are too trendy or simple trash. Shopping your wardrobe will also help you recognise gaps in your wardrobe and will help you make less shopping mistake in the future.

Reduce Waste, Shop Less

For the month of February, I decided to challenge myself. In this month I will not buy any new piece of clothing (or shoes), and I also try to create a completely new outfit every day. This means a whole new combination every day for the month of February. And don't worry I will document it all. However, if you don't want to wait 29 days to see all my looks, you can follow me on IG. I often post OOTD on my IG stories.

No need to shop the stores, shop your closet first.

I am hoping this experience will help me be more conscious about every purchase I will make in the future and help me change my current shopaholic status to a conscious shopper. And who knows maybe I can go longer than a month without purchasing new items.
