As the temperature does start to cool down for Autumn, retailers are injecting more and more lovely autumnal pieces to their collections. However, there is one colour that is in the collection of every retailer. Do you know which colour this is? Noo well, let me tell you it’s the colour green. I have seen a lot of pine green, emerald green, forest green and pistachio green online and in stores. Of course, this makes complete sense as these tone of greens were prominent in many designers Autumn Winter collections.
THE LOOK
For this look, I decided to go all monochrome green. I am wearing this gorgeous pleated skirt with a short sleeve turtleneck top; and knee-high black boots. I wore a thick black belt to accentuate my waist, and I completed the look with my black and gold flower earrings. Since it's not that cold I decided not to wear a jacket, however, if it was a bit colder I would have worn my biker leather jacket over my shoulders.
Styling tips
I am planning to take this skirt with me to my New York trip and I think I would wear it with a black long-sleeve turtleneck, a black bag and black sandals.
However, there are many other trendy ways to style this skirt.
Another trendy way to style this skirt is with a blazer. I would wear the blazer as a blouse and I would cinched the waist in with a belt. To complete this look, I would wear my black sandals or boots. Another interesting way to style this skirt would be with a jumper. I would tock in my jumper and wear a waistbelt to cinched my waist, but that is a personal choice. If where you are living is not cold you can also wear this skirt with a cami and sandals or pumps. And if you want to go for a casual look try wearing it with a basic tee and sneakers.
Colour combination
This skirt is a beautiful dark forest green and this colour will go well with neutral colours like black, (off-)white, grey and beige. These colours will always be a save colours to combine dark forest green with, however, if you want to combine this skirt with colours on the colours wheel try mustard yellow, burnt orange, blush pink or navy blue. If you are looking for stylish ways to style this look keep an eye on my Instagram, as I will be uploading more outfits with this skirt.
