It is around this time a year I start to get bored with winter and winter fashion. Natural tones are starting to feel so tired, and I am ready for some colour, some Spring. Stores are already showing spring collections, and there are many Spring// Summer trends and styles I am dying to try out. But this will not be possible until I see some improvements in the weather. So, what's a girl to do?
Since it is too cold to wear spring looks, I decided to I start to incorporate a dose of spring to my looks by combining unusual colours. I use the colour blocking wheel to make sure that the colours are complementing each other and not clashing. Where Winter Meets Spring is about finding ways to combine some of those Spring colours with your winter attire to create outfits that feel like spring without having to freeze your bunda.
Styling Tips:
- Put away your black trouser and start wearing your white, grey or light blue trousers.
- Switch your camel, grey, brown or black sweater for a light yellow, pink, light blue or white sweater.
- Opt for brighter or lighter colour pantyhose, stockings or tights.
- Wear Sandals and (patterned) tights.
- Start wearing spring-like accessories.
These are all great ways to add a dose of spring to your winter look.
